About the show: The Real Housewives of Atlanta is an American reality television series on the Bravo cable television network, that premiered in the Fall of 2008. Season two is set to premiere on July 30, 2009. It is the network's third series in this format, following The Real Housewives of Orange County and The Real Housewives of New York City.
The show is produced by True Entertainment, a subsidiary of reality-TV giant Endemol. The executive producers are Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Shari Solomon Cedar and Kenny Hull. The series differs, however, from its predecessors by including a cast of characters that do not actually live in Atlanta, Georgia. Each of the women lives in metro-Atlanta suburbs situated in north Fulton, Forsyth, Fayette and Gwinnett counties. The Real Housewives of Atlanta was the network’s first docu-drama ever to hit the two million viewer mark among adults 18-49. The series averaged 1.13 million adults 18-49 and 1.495 million total viewers, with the reunion telecast totaling 2.055 million adults 18-49 and 2.817 million total viewers tuning in.

Real Housewives repeats will be syndicated in fall 2010

Next fall, The Real Housewives of the O.C., New York City, New Jersey, and Atlanta will all enter syndication, as their collective seasons will have more than 100 episodes, the magic number for syndication. Repeats of the show will air daily on NBC-owned TV stations and other networks.
Broadcasting & Cable reports that “NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold Bravo’s unscripted series The Real Housewives as a one-hour syndicated strip for fall 2010 to NBC’s owned TV stations” and “is now pitching the show to other station groups.”
That “syndicated strip” means that it will air a different episode each day of the week, so you can get through a whole season of fights and table-flips in a couple weeks rather than a few months.
