Personally, no matter who they choose as the next Bachelor, I think they should go back to how they used to do certain things. First they used to bring friends on in the second or third episode and have the one on one dates that week with their friends' choice. Second, at the end of every group date, the Bachelor/ette spent some uninteruppted alone time with who they gave the date rose. Another thing was whoever got the first impression rose got the first one on one date. I wonder how this season would've played out if they did some of these things.

Maureen, I agree!   I remember how it used to be .. and now .. I just don't feel they spend any real time together at all.    It's getting mundane .. same thing every season.  They need to change it up for the next one!

Or pick one of the first three guys that she sent home on the first night lol .. I mean we didn't get to know them = whose to say they aren't witty and charming lol ....  but only referring to the ones she didn't give a rose too - not the ones eliminated because they couldn't handle their liquor lol

Whomever it is, Chris Harrison said in a previous interview that they will not use someone unknown. They have

found things are better, ratings I assume, when they use someone from the previous season or seasons. No

strangers. And I like the idea of bringing friends back too!

I saw an interview where he said that.  He mentioned how it's worked for soap opera's to have a continuing story line and he mentioned, who doesn't like seeing a past contestant find true love.
