Iveta Lukosiute, 30, ballroom
Hometown: New York City

Iveta Lukosiute was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania, and moved to the U.S. in 1997. She has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She is a World Champion Professional 10-Dance of the World Dance Council, and her specialties are Ballroom and Latin.

Third time's a charm for Lukosiute, who's auditioned twice before. "As ballroom dancers we ... can sometimes come off cold because we are not used to talking or showing emotions," says Lukosiute, who took classes to work on other genres before her last chance to beat the SYTYCD age limit.

 
 

 

 

 

Sasha Mallory, 23, Bakersfield, CA.

Hometown: Bakersfield, Calif., Contemporary 

At age 5, Sasha Mallory began studying ballet technique at the Royal Academy of Dance. She trained at the Houston Ballet, the Boston Ballet and the Ailey School's summer intensives. Her speciality is Contemporary, and she recently toured with pop star Adam Lambert.

While her specialty is contemporary dance, Mallory considers her style to be a bit more interpretive. "I just go with whatever the music tells me to do," she says. And the spiky-haired dancer says she'll take any critique in stride. "I'm not the type of person who gets worked up over stupid comments," she says. Iveta:

a Bollywood number choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan.

Bollywood is one of my favorite styles of dance so of course I am loving this number. It is so true to form, so entertaining and just so beautiful to watch. I love every moment of it.

Nigel: It was good and entertaining.

Mary: She is a fan of them and their dancing.

Debbie: They were terrific!

Sasha:

Nappy Tabs hip hop routine about a solider coming home from the war.

Debbie: She loves them!

Mary: She is in tears because the story hits close to home.

Nigel: He thinks they carried it off brilliantly.

Iveta eliminated 6/23/11. She is a beautiful ballroom dancer but was a little weak in the other types of dances.
