Congratulations to Sherri who has finally made it to DWTS. Sherri has made it known for quite some time that she would love to be on the show. Her partner will be Val Chamerkovskiy. I think she will add flavor and fun ! So just who is this woman ?

Sherri is an actress, comedienne and co-host for ABC's very popular daytime talk show, "The View." Sherri has appeared in TV shows such as: "30 Rock", "Less Than Perfect", "Everybody loves Raymond", and a few films, to include "Escape to Africa" and recently, "One for the Money."

Sherri was born April 22, 1076, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the eldest of three sisters. She attended high school and later worked a day job a a legal secretary while doing stand up comedy at night. From there, she went into television. She has even filmed "Sherri", with Lifetime TV, a sitcom about her life.

This remarkable woman is also an author of a very funny autobiography "Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Yourself a Break."

Sherri has a son from a previous marriage and recently married a writer, Lamar Sally, in August, 2011.

Sherri recently told Access Hollywood, "We're working on it as we speak. I looked at my competition and I definitely said I am going to step up my game." And glad to have Val as her guide she stated,

" Those who think that at 44 she won't able ale to bring it to the competition, should get ready for a big...." She's also planning to call on some of her friends for votes, including former president Clinton.

She should be fun to watch and I am wishing her well.
