Roberto is 27 years old  and is originally from Tampa, Florida. When The Bachelorette started he was living in Charleston, S. C., and he worked as an insurance agent. At the time of filming, he was the youngest State Farm Agent in the United States.

 
He has also been a baseball player and took Ali on a date at a baseball field. He played Division II ball at the University of Tampa 2002 and 2004. He was a pitcher on the team. There is not much known about his previous dating life but he does recall a terrible date, while in high school.  He was on a double date and the girl cried when she spilled ketchup. He feels she must have been very nervous.
 
He is smart and an intellectual. His favorite book is "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. It dissects financial freedom or just getting by.  Hmmmmmm pretty deep. For fun, he enjoys beach activities.
 
When he first walked out of the limo, it seemed Ali was impressed. He started speaking to her in Spanish and invited her to Salsa dance. He then took her and they danced a "hot" dance. Needless to say, he received the first impression rose later that first night.
 
Roberto eventually received the final rose beating out fan favorite Chris Lambton and proposed to Ali Fedotowsky.
 
Their relationship lasted about 18 months. They were seen frequently and seemed very happy together. They moved to San Diego, where Roberto set up an insurance office.
 
They had planned a marriage in 2011, but Ali broke her leg and they called it off  and planned to set a later date, as Roberto did not want her to have to use crutches or a wheelchair down the aisle. Later we learned there were problems in the relationship. It seems Roberto is old fashioned and more of a home body, whereas Ali likes to go out and socialize with friends.
 
As rumors surfaced there were problems, eventually it was announced that they had ended the relationship.
 
I think we all had such hopes for this relationship and I guess we will never really know what happened.
 
I do appreciate the fact that neither one has tried to tarnish the other's reputation.

According to Reality Steve, Roberto is confirmed as the next bachelor. But now, he is asking ABC of $750,000. Is e nuts?
