About the show: NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it's a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a former Marine gunnery sergeant, whose skills as an investigator are unmatched, formerly led this troupe of colorful personalities. Gibbs, a man of few words, only needs a look to explain it all.
The team includes NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), an ex-homicide detective who may come off as the world's oldest frat boy, but whose instincts in the field are unparalleled; forensic specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a talented scientist whose dark wit matches her Goth style and eclectic tastes, NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), an MIT graduate whose brilliance with computers far overshadows his insecurities in the field and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), a former Mossad agent who shares a bond with Gibbs over the death of his arch nemesis, Ari, the terrorist who killed former NCIS Special Agent Kate Todd.

Ok, back to the pc. Someone start a NCIS LA forum. I'm not a starter and it drives me crazy that I cannot add a comment to any 'ning' group on the blackberry. Anyway, Has Don Bellisario stepped back and let Shand Brennan take over the NCIS franchise? LA is not DC, but not in a good way. Last week LA was unbellieveable with the instant conterfeiting knowledge and skill. I find myself looking at the Venice Beach scenes and saying, 'Oh, I remember being there' and the 'Farmer's Market' scene which I think is right outside of CBS studios. Both tourist places of which I confess to have 'been there, done that'. That back story on Callan got better this week as DC went downhill IMHO... love to read a different point of view.

Apparently I can't add a comment with my Blackberry but I can on the pc. I will try again. Rena Sofer has the type of 3 dimensional character portrayal that will fit in nicely with the established 'crew'. I had been hoping that Alicia Coppola who also played a lawyer, would have been added back a few seasons. She would have given Gibbs a run for his money!Does any one have a feel how Season 7 will go the the new producer/director Shane? NCIS: LA seems to be his baby. Although I like most of the cast, I am not happy with the story lines or scripts. Maybe it is a learning curve. When I can guess the ending within 15 minutes of the show beginning, it is not a challenge. What do you think?

Rena Sofer has joined CBS' "NCIS" as a potential recurring.
She will play a no-nonsense attorney with mysterious motives. Sofer was recently seen in the Hallmark Channel movie "Always & Forever" and also recurred on Fox's "24" and NBC's "Heroes."
