The Final Episode: It's down to two couples, and their final challenge involves an overnight mission that will put their endurance to the ultimate test. In the end, one couple will reveal wheather their journey has led to love.

Darren McMullen tells us if someone found Love in the Wild! Does anyone actually find love in the wild? Surprisingly there is. Several couples too. I think we were genuinely surprised by the number of connections that were had there, because it was a bit of a worry for us. It was a new format, never been tried before or tested. We got 20 complete strangers [and] we didn’t know how’d they react. They could all hate each other, and the show would be a complete disaster. But at the same time if they all loved each other and they all got along then the show would be a complete disaster too. But basically it was a mix of that. People loved each other. People hated each other. And some of the people that loved each other continue to be together.

This week - 8-3-11 The search for an indigenous artifact in the jungle has the five remaining couples riding horses to a spectacular waterfall, climbing a rope ladder and going down a slide - a mudslide, that is. Bonds are tested, and some don't pass.

Partners and Update on Show of July 20th. Everyone is coupled up and it looks as if it is going to stay that way.

Derek and Jess - They came in first, enjoyed the Oasis and seemed to make a nice connection. Derek thought he wanted to try Samantha. Mike had a talk with him about the seriousness of his relationship with Sam. and Derek really got along very well with Jess. So, they are staying together. I don't see that changing.

Mike and Samantha -  Still together, and after a struggle last week, seem even stronger this time. They came in 4th and will need to up their game if they want to stay around longer.

Miles and Heather - They reconncted last week and are staying together. Their relationship seems strong. They finished 3rd this week.

Ben and Brandee - As crazy as this relationship seems at times, it works. She "Gets" him!  They finished 2nd.

Skip and Theresa - Seem to be doing well but finished 6th.

Steele and Erica -  Steele switched to Erica last week and one might have thought he would change again. But, he and Erica seemed to  make a nice connection. They lucked out as they came in last. Jessica wanted to change to Steele but he said he had made a connection with Erica. Thus, Jessica and her partner Jason, were left without partners and went home. Steele has problems with the challenges and must up his game if he wants to stick around a bit longer.

Love in the Wild series could be a fantastic summer blockbuster if they have integrated the Costa Rican “Pura Vida” locations and romance into the mix – remains to be seen – but I’m waiting!
