Jason Scott Mesnick is the runner-up on Season 4 of The Bachelorette and the Bachelor of the 13th season of the reality dating show The Bachelor.

Mesnick is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, but moved to Washington at the age of eight. He has two brothers, Sean and Larry, his parents divorced when he was a teen and had re-married on their separate ways. Mesnick attended Lake Washington High School and got his part-time job at Safeway. Following his graduation from high school in 1994, he attended University of Washington where he joined Theta Chi Fraternity, he received his BA in psychology when he graduated in 1998.

In 2003, Mesnick married Hilary Buckholz and have a son, Ty. Their marriage did not last, but they were divorced in 2006 and later finalized in 2007.However, Mesnick raised Ty as a single father. Mesnick now resides in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland.

Mesnick is a business development manager for the travel company Down Under Answers, and is a "big brother" for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America.
