Jalell is in an actor and a screenwriter. He was born November 27, 1977. He is best known for his role as Steven Urkel from "Family Matters," and voicing the character of "Sonic the Hedgehog," and other characters for the :Sonic the Hedgehog" media. His role in "Family Matters" was scheduled as a one-time guest but he was so popular, that he was given a full time role.

And, the rest is history. At the age of 19, he wrote an episode of the popular show, which turned out to be one of the series highest rated that year. Wanting to expand his career, he graduated from UCLA's film and television program.

More recently, he has appeared in TV's "NCIS," "Psych." and he appeared in Cee Lo Green's music video, "Cry Baby." In the future we will find him as the host of the new "SyFy" game show "Total Blackout," and he will begin production on a film, which he co-wrote titled, "Parkin' Lot Pimpin."
