When we first met David, he was a contestant on "The Bachelorette" of Jillian Harris' season. He competed with many fantastic men but was eliminated during the fourth week. At that time, he was a trucking contractor from Dayton, Ohio. He became well known for his "Man Code," (unwritten rules about certain things an man does and certain things a man does not do.)
"Man code" is simply part of his blue-collar upbringing, David, a 27-year-old trucking contractor from Dayton, OH, insisted.
"It's funny because I've never thought anything about it but it seems to be kind of a big issue. Man code is like I said, I grew in the country and I'm a country boy at heart. I'm as blue collar as they come... and there's just a certain mentality about blue collar people like us."
For example you don't tell a girl about her man's other girlfriends, especially if not sure.
He made his reality TV comeback the following year as part of the cast of the first season of Bachelor Pad, where he, along with contestant Natalie Getz, won the grand prize.
In a recent interview in November, 2011, he was asked what he looks for in a woman:
"Jeans and a t-shirt, but elegant arm candy when needed, non-gold digging, motivated, natural C cup, long legs, and loves me for me kinda girl."
When asked what his fans would be most surprised about he answered:
"How compassionate I am towards friends and family."
