Dancing with the Stars 13: Karina Shares her Thoughts on the Past Week and The Mirror Ball

 

In a recent interview Karina talks about her time with J.R. this past week for the Pink Panther Dance.

 
She tells us that they are putting in a minimum of 8 hours a day and it is not easy. She talks about her frustration with judges:
 
"We start out creating a story because we really want to entertain people at home as much as we want to get the judges on our side. Though we obviously haven’t been able to do just yet. It’s crazy! One week we’ll win one judge over and then the other two won’t be on our side, then the next week those two will be with us and the third won’t!"
She shares that it was difficult coming off of a very emotional dance last week and now working with the comical "Pink Panther." Part of the main focus for her and J.R. is to work hard and give the audience a great dance and entertain at the same time. "We want to continue to dance the following week,"
 
Many have suggeted to her that she could win the Mirror Ball Trophy with J.R. this season. She has been on the show for 10 seasons and has not won yet, but she does not want to make that her main goal. About that she said:
 
 "I want to win this mirror ball trophy -and I do, I’m not gonna act like I don’t- to me it’s all about the journey. After the show is over, I go back and I watch videos and I re-live those moments. If I have a great partner, who I do this season! He’s absolutely amazing in every sense of the word. That makes me already feel like a winner because I enjoy going to the studio. I enjoy getting up in morning because I love what I do and I get to share it with the person who gets me and who I get." 
 
As for her feelings about this week's dance:  "To be honest, to see J.R. be classy, elegant and romantic in week one and then fun, entertaining and full of energy in week two and then to go to such an emotional place in week three to then show funny, comical side in week four, that just proves how versatile he is. I can respect Carrie Ann’s opinions but I can’t say I particularly agree with them."
 
SirEnigma did not agree with Carrie Ann either. The dance and music demanded some comedy and the subtle way in which is was portrayed was great. It did not take away from the performance. As Len said, "It was not campy", as some others were, and he liked it.

They are wonderful and I hope to see him in the top three along with Ricki and I am

not sure about the third.

My pick for final 3 would have been JR, Ricki, and Chynna. Not sure now. Rob, maybe?

Jef Holm- he is the CEO of a company called People Water Inc. in Pleasant Grove, Utah and is also a youngster in his mid 20's!

Chris Bukowski - Chris is a Marketing guy from Chicago!
