Dancing with the Stars 13: The Finals Recap - There were Some Fabulous Freestyle Dances!

 The dancing last night was wonderful. I can't wait for tonight.

 Ricki and Derek:

Dance: Cha Cha
Music: Chris Brown's "Yeah 3x."
Len: He felt it was action packed but lacked some fluidity. But, "It was a fine dance."
Bruno: He thinks Ricki has never been sexier.
Carrie Ann: She said, "You are living the dance." She pointed out a few places that could have been better.
SereneLdy: I did see a slip up but overall felt it was a great dance, full of energy, confidence, and fun. But I did expect the three 9's.
Score: 27
 
Freestyle: It was a combination of the Quick Step and Salsa moves.
Music: "Can't Touch It" by Ricki-Lee Coulter
Len: He thought it as fun and entertaining. He felt she lost a bit in the quickstep.
Bruno:  He thought it was a demanding dance and very good.
Carrie Ann:  She felt is was fluid and was impressed with how they "from opposite ends of the spectrum using both the Quickstep and Salsa moves.
SereneLdy: Ricki talked about the fact that she was a bit ahead of herself with the count. I enjoyed the dance but frankly, I as a bit disappointed. I thought there would be more difficult moves.

Rob & Cheryl
Dance: Waltz
Music: Is It You (I Have Loved)" by Dana Glover.
Bruno: He loved the footwork on the crossovers and feels he peaked at the right time.
Carrie Ann: She used the analogy of Rob to Cinderella, making it to the ball against all odds.
Len: He thought the dance got a bit heavy at times but it as "a simple dance that was simply beautiful."
SereneLdy: I enjoyed the dance very much and felt Rob did a great job. I love the connection between him and Cheryl. He deserves to be here.
Score: 27
 
Freestyle: "Minnie the Moocher" by The Blues Brothers.
Rob was dressed in black and lifted and spun Cheryl all over the state.
Bruno: He felt the concept, execution, and performance were all brilliant.
Carrie Ann: She said he "blew her away."
Len: He agrees it was a great dance, sees that Rob gave it his all and he should be proud.
SereneLdy: It loved it and felt Rob did a great job. He as so confident and it has been wonderful to see how much he has grown has a man as well as a dancer on this journey.

J.R. & Karina
J.R. is hoping to bounce back form his ankle injury of last week.
Dance:  Cha Cha
Music: "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez.
Carrie Ann: She says, "People fall in love with J.R.'s spirit when he dances. But, she feels his musicality was a bit off during this dance.
Len: Len felt there were a few mistakes due to J.R.'s enthusiasm getting the best of his has he attacked the dance. But he appreciated all of the time J.R. danced by himself.
Bruno:  He felt the character of the dance was "spot on." And he loved J.R.'s Latin flair.
SereneLdy: He did a great job but I did see a few missed steps. I am looking forward for him to really bring it during the freestyle. All celebrities have, at times, gotten so enthusiastic, that their timing was off. I think this first dance out of the gate for all of them help them settle down for the next one.

Freestyle
Music: "Whine Up" by Kat DeLuna.
Wow, I was anxious how all of the lifts would go after seeing the practices this week. I kept my fingers crossed that all would go well. They relied on many of the Salsa moves.
They did some serious lifts and flips, all of which went very well.
Carrie Ann: She tells him the lifts were the "sickest" she's ever seen.
Len: He said, "Two things were revealed, Karina's body, and J.R.'s talent.
Bruno: He says he cannot contain himself, it was a terrific comeback.
SereneLdy: Now, this is more like it. This is what I was looking for. WOW - I am so happy for him and Karina. It was brilliant, well executed, and plenty of content.
