Vienna's Dad gave the the willies... he introduced a fuller figured brunette as his wife (did anyone notice how similiar she looked to Vienna)

My question is what happened to Vienna's mother?  Wondering if it explains the type of relationship she has with her father.  Anyone?  Thanks...

I agree WEIRD family.

Her father is a controlling, angry wingnut. His comments that his "Princess" will basically go for whoever he agrees with for her is controlling to the max. Whose life is this anyway?! It was almost as if he didn't think Vienna had a mind of her own or was entitled to make her own life decisions. You would think that Jake would want a woman who was independent and made up her own mind about things. Just the look on Jake's face and the 'If I were to choose Vienna, she would be treated like a Princess" tells me he does not choose Vienna. I might be wrong but it's a feeling I have as I have said here more than a few times.

Her brother saying "if you hurt Vienna, I will have to break your legs" or words to that effect was NOT funny and it was creepy. His face was creepy.

Vienna's Dad introducing that brunette woman as his 'wife' and she does look like Vienna is weird also. What is up with all this.

I say forget about Vienna, Jake (though I know the decision is already made in the real world) and if you DID choose her you aren't married to her yet and can back out of it still.
Marilyn,

I totally agree with all of this!

One thing that I need to say is that it was Gia's brother who threatened to break Jake's legs. That's a very NYC type of joke.

That said, Vienna's family is totally creepy and dysfunctional. The only really normal stable family I saw of the four was Tenley's family.

Just my take.

I really couldn't wait to see Vienna's Dad, how they interacted was very disturbing. Knowing she was Daddy's Princess is frightening enough, but I imagined someone totally different...someone Robert Wagnerish, or even maybe Overly Flamboyant...But not what he was. He was NOT what I expected. He was a total pervy geek-a -zoid...but then again, he was a "characture" of what would appear next to the word pervy in the dictionary/definition , including the exaggerated thick glasses, slurred dialog in a smallish man-room over a big bike. And then wait - wasn't he lurking over the bedroom make out session like he wanted to watch... All I can say is.eek, run Jake RUN fast and don't look back!!

I remember Gia's spikey haired relative threatening to break legs, (bwahaahaa on that threat...)
now I will need to look back to check out Vienna's bro's threat.

I used to get have a connection with the possible outcome. This season I am totally absent of what the actual result may be.

I just want Jake to be happy. I really like the guy.
I completely agree on all counts! Very well said.

I've been on this site for a while now and I've read a lot of the bashing most people are doing towards Vienna and granted many don't like her but this has gone to an all time low, bashing her family, specifically her poor dad! I wonder what people would comment about your family if a camera crew came into your home and filmed and EDITED the footage for drama ratings.

Saying Vienna's dad was creepy or weird, why because he wore glasses and the glare didn't give him the best look. Becasue he loves his daughter and is protective of her, he said what any father would say (hello Tenley's dad said the same) and maybe he didn't say the most eloquently he could have but you cannot fault someone for his lack of vocabulary. If you read Jake's blog post show, he says that Vienna's family made him feel comfortable and he was excited to see her and that her dad was a kind and loving man!

All the Vienna haters are so clouded in judgment that they are grasping at straws to attack her and now her family.

Again, it was GIA's step brother that told Jake he would break his legs if he hurt his sister, so shows how attentive you are to the "facts" of the show.

As for the princess remarks, what woman doesn't want to be treated like a princess by the man she loves? If she is close to her father, most likely if even just once in her life, she was called a daddy's girl or daddy's little princess. I think its sweet. And if any of the women on the show have a mind of their own, it would be Vienna. Tenley is cute but all her mind thinks about is her ex-husband. Ali can't make a decision and stick to it (I would accept your proposal if you asked, then I don't know if I should leave or stay, then she leaves, and now she's apparently calling Jake in St., Lucia - make up your mind already) and Gia well her mom had to take out her tarot cards when she met Jake to give her advice, lol!

The point here is that tv doesn't always depict the reality of life, even on a reality show. And when you cross the line and attack families, thats just an all time low. Vienna's family didn't ask to be on the show, they're supporting her and whatever decisions she makes. Jake obviously has deep feelings for her so if he chooses her good luck to them and God bless. But back off Vienna already, geese!

I wear glasses, and should have been nicer. Sorry, with that, I still want to say it all gave me the wicked willies...
Who hasn't wondered a bit about the Daddy behind the Princess?
But the sobbing and all the stroking... my goodness... It all was so very uncomfortable. Please tell me how many girls do that with their Father?

All of this brings me back to my original question, "where or what happened to Vienna's birth Mom??"
I think knowing a bit of that history would help us understand a bit more. Did I miss that episode. There has to be more to VIenna's personal back story that Jake knows, and we don't? Maybe Jake's knowing Vienna's personal history has made him more compassionate to her. Can anyone fill me in?
Poor Vienna, Poor Vienna's family! Cry me a river.

WOW, you would think that these people have no idea about what reality tv is all about. People form opinions, they may have merit, they may not. If you, or anyone in your family does reality tv, expect that there could be hurtful things said and scandals brought up or made up. That's what reality tv is. That is drama. No one has to agree. Remember when Melissa's family would not come onto the show? They had an idea of what could happen and wanted no part of it. Everyone that does reality tv, allows a relative to do reality tv and then participates themselves opens themselves up to scrutiny.

If I don't think Vienna is right for Jake--why is it skin off your back anyway? Why don't you just reply by saying why you like her instead of attacking those you disagree with? This is all opinion and for fun anyway.
Your're right. You never said anywhere that you liked her. Correct.

Maybe RS really does work for ABC and maybe I am a plant here to rile you all up. Hahaha, now that would funny.

I don't agree with that. Vienna signed up for reality tv NOT her father! He agreed to be on the show most definitely to support his daughter, not to be attacked, called a perv, wingnut or whatever insults beind spewed out at the guy.

Forming an opinion, biased or unbaised, is one thing, but attacking the man because he cried or because he wears glasses, come on now. .... or ther best one yet VIenna is now being called dishonest because she dyes her hair! Seriously?

My main point is that anyone that goes on a reality tv show should expect controversy and rejoice if there is none. Melissa Rycroft's family refused to come on the show and Vienna's could have too. They knew what they were getting into.
