BACHELOR NEWS - TVFanSpace.com - Jake Pavelka reportedly attempted to reunite with his ex-girlfriend the day after he got engaged to Vienna Girardi during the filming for The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love's finale last fall.

After contacting his ex-girlfriend following filming for the finale, Pavelka allegedly tried to convince her that he still loved her and that the women he met on the show -- including Girardi -- meant nothing to him, RadarOnline reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed source.

In addition, the report claims that Pavelka left his relationship with his girlfriend "on hold" when he left to film The Bachelor and she was under the impression that they were still "on" and he was just appearing on the show in an attempt to further his acting career.

Weeks of phone calls apparently led to an in-person meeting between Pavelka and his ex-girlfriend, RadarOnline reported, adding that the two did not have sex but had intimate conversations in which The Bachelor star said he was still in love with her and wanted to be with her.

Pavelka and Girardi told reporters during a Tuesday conference call that they "definitely" plan on getting married within the next two years after they give their romantic relationship some time to blossom in the real world.

While Pavelka will also compete on Dancing with the Stars upcoming tenth season as a celebrity participant, he said it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up and had nothing to do with a potential acting career.

Do you think Jake is Sincere?

I think Jake needs to grow up. No one should marry him till he does.
When I first saw the title of this, I assumed it was Ali! I guess it wasn't. :((( I would like to think he is sincere, but now I'm not so sure. Fame and money do weird things to people unless they're extremely moral. I thought Jake was, but who knows what to believe now.

He did choose Vienna which indicates either he is extremely naive or they both perhaps had the same agenda to further their careers and since he knew that he thought she would be the least hurt when he ditched her for his ex-girlfriend perhaps???

I am beginning to hate the whole thing and wonder who is real here.
I agree. Will the real Jake please stand up. Only time will tell. The reason I question is because some of
Jakes actions are different than his words.

Tenley is scheduled to appear on "The Bonnie Hunt Show" this morning for anyone who is interested in
watching.
Thanks for the info beckster, I'll be sure to record it today, I missed Tenley's interview with Ellen yesterday, so maybe Bonnie's show will bring me up to speed.

I've noticed that there is a lot of people who aren't too fond of Jake, (judging from the posts I've been reading), and a lot of credence is being given to the many tabloid articles surfacing both during the show, and after. For me, I never believe much of what I see or read in the tabloids because most of it, if not all, is nonsense.

Reality TV shows have opened up opportunities and launched the careers of many who've been on them. So for this reason, it's easy to assume that this is the motivater for all. But as for Jake, I'm not convinced that this is the case at all. I believe that Jake was genuinely looking for love, and it appears he's found it. Whatever opportunities open up for Jake now will be icing on the cake, but I don't believe that he appeared on these shows to launch his acting career.

Okay...well, with no disrespect, Jake has said in past interviews and it has been mentioned in several articles on line and printed that Jake is a part time actor. Sad to say, but I believe that with a lot of rumor there is usually some truth in it otherwise it wouldn't be spread and take on a life of its own. I wanted sooooo badly to believe that Jake--of all of the previous bachelors--was THE guy who was wholesome, sincere and for real. Now,he is none of that to me...you might want to read up on him and what is really fact and what appears to be more speculation....just saying.
All of us have our own views and rightly so, but in this case, Jake is NO WHERE NEAR ready to make not only us, the viewers believe he is "ready" for marriage, but also himself and his family. His family, his mom and dad especially, seem soooo dear and genuine. Too bad Jake hasn't aspired to their level yet...

You could be absolutely right Deanne. I, too, wonder if Jake and Vienna's union will stand the test of time. Although I've dismissed many of the rumors, gossip and tabloid articles that have surfaced, I realize that some of them might hold truth. But it's difficult at best to determine which ones are truthful, and which ones aren't. The months ahead will prove or disprove most of them, I'm sure.

I've spent a lot of time standing up for Vienna in my posts, because I want to believe there is good in everyone, and I know she's made some mistakes in her past which she's paying for right now, in many ways...hee hee...

She was never on my radar as being the one who would end up with Jake, I'm as shocked many of you are. My original thoughts and opinions of Jake are much different than they were after Jillians show, for sure. Who'da thunk?

But I think it just goes to show myself how wrong I can be about people. The person I thought was perfect for Jake turned out to be anything but what he was ultimately looking for.

Guess we'll know more in the upcoming months...
Jake wil appear on Bonnie Hunt tomorrow alone without Vienna, for those who want to watch and see what he reveals when Vienna is not there.

Excellent post, Deanne. You are right about there having to be some truth to the crap they print in the tabloids. In fact, too many actors/actresses have sued rags like the National Enquirer BECAUSE there was so much fabrication. They have to be on the cautious side, at least, about what they print. However, if it was a two way street, and each of them {Jake and Vienna} decided to get on the show to further their respective careers, then no one gets hurt in the end because they both knew it wasn't for real. So it won't matter what the tabloids say because neither one of them was in for the "long haul", anyway.

And in response to some of the other posts, if the rumors about Jake's "girlfriend" are true, it doesn't surprise me. He's a man after all, albeit a naive one. I have always believed the old sayings "Every dog has it's day" and "if you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas". Regardless of which one of them is not sincere {if, in fact, one of them is not}, it will catch up to them some day.

Agree with both of you very wise women.
