So if you have been reading our Bachelorette Blog this season you've heard my hypothesis already but if not I will post it again. This is just my speculation and it is based on no facts....YET.
As it turns out though there is a growing amount of skepticsim on the matter of this season outcome and the so called leaks of Reality Steve. Andy Dehart of Reality Blurred....one of the most known bloggers in the TV industry wrote the following this week....(Article is below-see bold and underlined portion on him floating a hypothesis.)
Article was titled: Bachelor producer calls spoilers and leaks “just more promotion"
Tonight on The Bachelor, Chris Harrison says, “for the first time ever, there will be no rose ceremony.” The shock! The horror!
If you’ve been able to slog through all of the text to find Reality Steve’s spoilers, you probably have a good idea why there is no rose ceremony tonight. Whatever you think about the conspiracy theories, it’s clear Steve Carbone has a production source—whether it’s someone who’s actively involved in production or just tangentially connected to someone who is—who offers accurate information about what happens episode to episode. And guess what? The show’s executive producer doesn’t mind.
Here’s how Mike Fleiss said the show dealt with leaks in the past: “We spent a lot of money and we hired these guys from the Israeli secret service to shake down people and look at phone records and stuff like that. We ultimately found out who it was. That person no longer works for us,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
However, the latest leaks, regardless of their accuracy, don’t merit that kind of response; instead, Fleiss just jokes about them. “That’s something that kind of bugs us. In some ways, it’s just more promotion. We would like to find out [who his source is].” Fleiss adds, “We would love to know if anyone knows [who the source is]. I’m offering a $25 reward!”
In other words, he’s so unconcerned that he’s flippant about it, and actually appreciates how those spoilers inspire publicity and media coverage. If I were to float my own conspiracy theory, one might even imagine the show is using Steve. Steve told EW the information and source(s) “just fell into my lap,” which makes it possible that the show sought out someone who’d leak information but was highly critical, and therefore not sound like a publicist while (unwittingly or not) promoting the show.
But that’s just speculation.
I would take this one step further, this will make it a huge shock when there is a different outcome since he has credibility from a prior season. Especially since we are seasoned not to get our hopes up for Ali to return after Reid did not last season.
Like I said, we have nothing firm yet but don't be shocked to see a last minute outcome this year as we have been saying that you NEVER EXPECTED!

Permalink Reply by kimchee on February 9, 2010 at 6:41am Why would he take her back after she left? Clearly her job was more important than him, but of course, the comments in this last episode made by Jake and Ali, seem to make it more of a "shock" when she she made her choice. It looks like this is all scripted now and not a real search at all, doesn't it?
Sharon said:Something else HAS to happen. Why watch the rest of the season if someone already definitively knows what the outcome is? Ali was smart to leave for her job {if that was indeed the reason she left}...the way this economy is and the job market, at 25 she's lucky to have a job that she loves. Jake can't promise her anything at this point so why shouldn't she go for a sure thing? If someone like Vienna "can have her pick of men", Ali certainly can. I'm all for her ending up with Jake but if she doesn't, she'll be ok.
because it keeps us watching is hopes they were wrong..lol

Permalink Reply by Maureen on February 9, 2010 at 9:19am What is interesting is that Jake asked Ali's mother and Tenley's father for their blessing if Jake should propose to one of them. I did not see that occur with Gia or Vienna's family. Jake has stated that at the end, if you look back you would see the connection which leads me to believes that he eithers picks Ali, Tenley or no one.
In addition, what a great way to screw RS by feeding the guy information until the end. It sets RS up, and then leaves him out to dry, thus blowing his reputation out the window. A reasonable way to get rid of a problem, if one exists.
I'm with you, so hoping to see RS's credibility blown because it needs to be done since it's been rumored they are setting him up for a big fall.
As to the ending of the Bachelor, it's very telling he didn't ask for either Vienna's or Gia's dad's blessing when he proposed. Maybe they didn't show it, but I don't think it happened. So I truly believe Jake winds up with either Tenley or Ali, I'm hoping Ali.
Would you want Vienna's dad for a father-in-law, I wouldn't.
