Arie noticed that as they got closer to the end, the guys did  not talk much about their dates and feelings. They were all getting involved with Emily. And, he tried not to compare himself with the other men. He focused on his relationship with Emily.

Emily and Arie Meet for the First Time

Apparently, Arie did not know anything about Emily prior to getting to Charlotte. He did not know who she was. After he found out that her former fiance had been a race car driver and died, he was a bit worried. He was hoping it would not bother Emily, but he wanted to get it out in the open early. I personally think he handled it very well. Now, he could relax and get on with was important.

Before Croatia,  Arie's favorite date was Dollywood. And looking back, it is still the best date of his life. He began to feel connected to Emily then. But Arie went further to say as great as the dates were, just being with Emily was great. They talked about it in limo once. For example  could  a date in a bar in Arizona, be just as great.

Emily made a comment about that fact in the limo and they both started laughing. He says he could have driven around in a limo all day. He stated, "Like it didn't matter where we were or what we were doing.  Just being together and talking and laughing and getting to know each other was far more special than flying in a plane and being at Dollywood and it was just the connection that we have."

And he continued, "  So I know that it’s hard to really believe but, you know, when you connect with somebody it really doesn't matter what you are doing, right?  And that’s what we had on our first date and we really could have done anything and it would have been great." 

Is he ready for marriage and a family?  Yes, after he left the woman who had the two children he really missed them. They lived together and he would even take them to school stating,

"But when that relationship ended, I knew, you know, that I wanted that and, you know, I am 30 years old and I've grown up around adults my whole life.  I feel like an old soul and I really, really was looking for that.  And, you know, for me that’s not even a question.  It’s total fact.  I definitely want to get married; I definitely want to have kids and hopefully the sooner the better. "

And there you have it. Now we know that Arie, at least we think we know, that Arie is not one of the final two. If he is, then ABC really pulled a fast one. He really seems like a gentleman and I hope, if it's not Emily, he finds the woman of his dreams soon.
