Day 5

Today was great! We finished up the last touches on wardrobe so that is done and taken care of.  We got to rehearse our act on the main AGT stage, wow what an amazing experience. Everyone was there, the producers, choreographers, dancers, crew, photographers, grips, stage hands, and me.  Being on the main AGT stage in Hollywood makes me realize how much I want this dream and how hard I am willing to work.  After rehearsal everyone went out to sushi.  Sushi was great but after we went to get milk shakes and that hit the spot.  The icing on the cake was taking a dip in the hotel pool and enjoying the sauna.  What an amazing time here in Hollywood.  Till tomorrow!

Hey everyone we are in HOLLYWOOD! Its so cool out here, we love it. Its kind of colder here than in Atlanta but its nice. As soon as we got here we had to go to the studio and rehearse whic is cool because we want to put on a great show for you. Going to bed but we will be posting videos of us tonmorrow so you can see what we've been up too. Night!

Purrfect Angelz Performing Tonight 7/26/11

The Purrfect Angelz are an all-female dance troupe from Hollywood, California, comprised of high-energy dancers, aerial artists and fire baton twirlers. Founded in 2001, the girls perform around the country supporting local bike rallies, casinos and charity events, while working one, two and sometimes three other jobs to make ends meet. Dedication like this allows them to follow their true passion for entertaining.

Hey America....we're having a blast in rehearsals...this is what the Angelz were born to do...it just feels so great to be on that stage and under the lights.  We often get asked how to say our name...sooooo we came up with a sassy little way to pronounce "PurrRfect AngelZ" :)

POPLYFE Band to Perform Tonight 7/26/11

PopLyfe is a rock and soul band from Oakland, California, whose six members are all under the age of 18. The group got their start in the living room of keyboardist and musical director Dylan Wiggins' (15) home. The oldest son of legendary artist and producer D'Wayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Tone, it's no surprise that Wiggins' home would be the meeting place for friends to hang out and jam on instruments, including multiple guitars, drums, keyboards and a grand piano.

So we have been here for days now. we have met ALOT of great people from fellow contestants on the show to people like Chris Brown, it has been a amazing time so far. we have reheased and rehearsed time and time again just getting ready. also we have gone to so many places from Melrose Place to DISney Land, it has just been spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!   Well, we are still getting ready for our next big showing here on AGT.....................WE WERE BORN READY!!!!!!!!!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>POPLYFE

SO today we did rehearsal and a interveiw, it never stops being the most amazing time while we are here!!!!!! afterward the we are all going poolside to relax, have fun and cool off after a very long day!!!!!!! while we do that Khelani is going to do her girly thing.......lol ......she's getting her nails done!!!!!!   another day in the life of this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>POPLYFE

Ian Johnson Performs Tonight 7/26/11 The Yo Yo Kid

Ian Johnson lives in Hebron, Illinois, a small town of about 1100 people. The 16-year-old picked up the yo-yo when he was 10 years old and hasn't put it down since. With the full support of his parents, he hasn't had much trouble moving forward with this passion. He has won various contests across the nation and continues to compete throughout the U.S.

When not performing with the yo-yo, Ian enjoys playing sports and guitar.

Just a few more hours until I wake up and it's GAME DAY. I can't believe that I'm the first yoyoer in the live rounds....I am not only representing myself, but yoyoing as well. I have butterflies in my stomach, and I can't wait to get out there in front of AMERICA! This feeling is unbelievably surreal. Sometimes I have to pause and ask myself, is this really my life? And I think yes, and realize how thankful I am for it. A big thanks goes to my parents for their support....and all of you guys at home that will vote for me =) PLease vote online 10 times, call 10 times, and text 10 times for me =) It would be a great help

Capt. and Mary Belle Performing Tonight 7/26/11

Hollywood, Day 4

Tuesday is creeping closer!  We are so excited to share our performance with you!  We have had a great Saturday and the preparations are all starting to come together. 

Yesterday (Day 3) was very long, but so worth it.  We both had wardrobe consults and couldn't be happier with what they've come up with!  We also had a blast filming more b-roll footage!  We've been able to meet all other 11 acts.  Must say, it has been really incredible getting to know everyone on a personal level, after only having seen their performances on TV.  We know we will maintain friendships with some long after filming has wrapped.

Today was a pretty easy day.  We finally got to see our stage set up and went over some more notes with our producer and the choreographer.  We are going to make sure our performance on Tuesday is TOP NOTCH, and promise that you will not soon forget it!!!  Maybelle had another wardrobe consult (this team is truly incredible!) and we got in a solid hour of rehearsals.  Feeling great about the live performance!

Monet Talks About Her Journey and Is Excited to Perform for us 7/26/11

 

Monet

At the age of two, Monet started to sing, and her mother, being classically trained, understood Monet's gift and nurtured it to maturity. Tragedy struck the lives of Monet and her family after being devastated by two major hurricanes - Katrina and Wilma in 2005. The aftermath of the storms rendered the family homeless and ultimately evacuated them to a new coast. To get through these tough times, the family formed the troupe, Children of Zyan, and began to street perform for food, gas, clothing and motel money.

Monet not only found music to be a comfort but also a life preserver for her whole family. Monet was born in Miami, Florida, raised for most of her life in California and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. She lives with her mom, stepfather, two sisters and one brother who also are performers.
